There are no pictures yet of our time here in Peru. Mommy and Papi forgot to bring the connections to download pictures. Once we return home the pictures will follow.
As for now, Matisse and Asaya are now adjusting to the new environment and all their "new" family. The first few days were filled with lots of crying and hanging on to mommy and papi. We are very exhausted...being that we can´t leave the babies with anyone for long periods of time. It´s mostly when they are sleeping and don´t know that they are not with us. Hanging around the babies 24 hours a day...it makes working outside the home sound nice.
It´s winter here and it seems colder inside the house than outside. Asaya and Matisse have runny noses and little coughes. Yesterday, we drove to Chosica (45 minutes outside of Lima) and stayed in a "bed and breakfast" with the entire family. The owners of the place built bungalos that house up to 6 people each. Each bungalo is equipped with a bathroom w/ hot water, a kitchen with all necessities, and a television. There is a swimming pool and recreation area. The weather there was sunny and warm so the babies got to show off their little legs! We hung out relaxing in the sun.
We also went to El Bosque (The Forest) which is a country club. It was really nice. Lots of trees, hence the name. Green grass, water fountains, swimming pools, play grounds for kids of all ages, bungalos, and a restaurant area. Matisse went crazy with all the activities once he woke up from his nap. Asaya took a nap once we got there! Matisse felt sand between his toes for the first time in his life. It was funny because at first he squeezed his toes together not understanding the feeling of this strange substance. Asaya took advantage of all the shade and took a little nap under the trees covered by blankets (and one covering her face of course).
We are now back in Lima and the weather is cloudy and cool. Later we will head out to do some shopping. We hope all is well at home. We can´t wait to be back home.
Kisses,
Asaya, Matisse, Yoko and Eric

Good for you guys! I would like to know how you did it with them on the plane?!
I totally understand about how exhausting it is traveling with twins. We just got back from a "vacation", and we were 24/7 parents. It was so relaxing being back home, but I believe these are important events and memories for your babies to have! So you just do what gets by for now!
I can't wait to see pictures!
